The mission of the Joseph J. Peters Institute is to reduce the causes and overall results of sexually abusive behaviors through research, training, prevention, and treatment.

  • In 90% of abuse cases, the child knows and trusts the abuser.
  • 30-50% of all abusers are under the age of 18.
