Restoring hope with dignity

Our Misson & Approach

Our Mission

The mission of the Joseph J. Peter Institute is to serve survivors of trauma and individuals with a history of sexual offending and/or perpetrating relational violence through the provision of high-quality evidence-based social and psychological services, training, evaluation, research, education, consultation, and prevention.

Our Approach

Consultative. Compassionate. Creative.

Joseph J. Peters Institute has a singular approach: To restore hope with dignity. It’s who we are. It’s what we do. We are dedicated to helping individuals and their families heal, within a safe environment that promotes both recovery and resiliency.

We understand there is life beyond trauma and our skilled and experienced clinicians help those we serve to reach that new life.

Individuals who contact JJPI to receive services will receive a quick phone screening and will be scheduled for an intake evaluation appointment, usually within one to two weeks, to determine a course of treatment.

The psychiatrists, psychologists, and counselors at the Joseph J. Peters Institute use a variety of evidence-based treatments that are recognized by leading authorities on treatment, such as the United States Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
